christmas pearls of wisdom.

I received this quote in an email on Christmas Day and wanted to share it with you lovelies.

Because really, doesn't Christmas go on for 11 more days , after the actual day of Christmas?
So today is just the fourth day of Christmas. Four calling birds, you might say. LOL.

To your enemy, forgiveness.
To an opponent, tolerance.
To a friend, your heart.
To a customer, service.
To all, charity.
To every child, a good example.
To yourself, respect.

{Oren Arnold}

This actually is useful for us to remember every day of the year, not just during the holidays.
Especially that last line, "to yourself, respect".

I'm challenging myself to do at least one of these things each week this new year. Part of my "trying to be a better person, wife, and mother" objective. Which I haven't been too successful at so far...in my mind anyway. So this, along with my five wishes and the 2013 resolutions I'll post about next week, are all going to be part of my motivation agenda. Meaning I'm going to actually DO the things I write about.

Who's with me? What are some of your resolutions for the new year? Tell me about them or leave a comment linking to your "new year" post. Might just have a linky for this up next week...

2013, watch out. Crazy bloggers here...on a mission to lose the procrastination.

  1. I need to finish the book I wrote all during the month of November for NaNoWriMo. I seriously have to finish up and start editing, but having been so having trouble getting my butt in gear since the holidays kicked off!! Love your challenge and totally believe you will do it!!

  3. Great quote! I think I decided last night my 2013 mantra needs to be about giving grace. God has given us grace, yet we're often so unwilling to extend it to people. We forget that we're all human and make mistakes. People are going to hurt us and disappoint us, just like we'll do to someone else. When I work it all out, I'm going to post about it.
