I wanted to write a post again today. Because it's Friday and that means the hubs comes home early {if you can call 6 PM early} and we make pizzas. I try not to think about him having to work again tomorrow.
So I'm linking up again with my bestie Janine for her Finish the Sentence Fridays.
This week's prompt is..."You know what I think of social media? I think..."
That I don't know what I'd be doing with all those little moments during the day when I'm usually checking out one social loveliness or another. What would any of us be doing? How would the world be different? Because it totally would be different. But who knows if it would be in a good way or bad?
I admit I'm a junkie for Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, and Twitter...in that order. The other social medias, they don't really interest me. I guess I like Google+, but only for my blog. I despise LinkedIn and I don't get the whole Vine thing. Isn't it just Instagram with videos?
And having an iPhone really just increases the social media need. Because the apps are so much better. I probably use my phone more often than my computer to check up on my sites. But then I was coerced into playing Candy Crush Saga on Facebook. Bad, bad idea.
The only thing that kinda concerns me about all this social media hype and how we're all addicted...is that I put photos of my daughter out there. Yes, they are watermarked for the most part, but still. I have to wonder if doing that will ever come back and bite me in the butt. I hope not. And I hope that she's not mad at me in 15 years for splashing her cuteness for all to see. What will social media even BE like in 15 years?
I can't even imagine. It's kinda scary.

Today's the LAST day to enter for a chance to win this adorable Rapunzel Hat made by one of my good friends Dara! Any little girl would look adorable wearing this!
As you can see, the giveaway is WAY low-entry. Which means better chances for you!

Ok, seriously I may need to ask you for some tips on Instagram, because I really am not sure what I am doing. Oh and I just downloaded Vine, but haven't looked at it yet. Yes, my iPhone comes in just as handy around here, too lol!! Can you tell!! :) Thanks seriously so much for linking up with us today!!
ReplyDeleteSocial media has proven that I can not be trusted with an iPhone!
ReplyDeletei play candy crush on my phone too!
ReplyDeleteI love EVERYTHING about being a mom...even when I totally think it sucks ;)
ReplyDeleteI never got into Instagram. I have a sign on and I think it has one picture of a woodpecker pecking on our gutters. That's interesting that is your first one. I too do most of my SMing from my iPhone. Somehow that makes me feel less guilty and I can steal more moments to peek than I can with my computer. ;-) Yeah, what WILL it be like 15 years from now. I can't imagine.
ReplyDeleteHi beauty ... I love twitter. I never thought I would get into social media as much as I have considering I was SO against Facebook in the beginning and putting pics of Reagan online,
ReplyDeleteBoy have I come a long way! haha.
I love being a mom because it affords me to live life through the eyes of my child on occasion. Sometimes it's not fun but most of the time ~ it's totally worth it!

It is scary trying to imagine what social media will be like in 15 years!!! I too have worried about putting my kiddos' pictures up, but I still do it. I love having family and friends able to see the girls so easily...thanks for linking up today!
ReplyDeleteI do use LinkedIn but ONLY for work stuff. It's a good networking tool professionally but I would never post my blog link there. Some things should remain separate. And oh gosh, I've never even heard of Vine! Yikes. I worry about how many photos of my son are out there as well. Great points.
