I really don't like to feel ungrateful for all the blessings that I have in my life. Because I have a lot of them. And I really am very thankful. God is good.
But I'm allowed a venting post or two every once and a while, right? I'm just tired of a few things.
I'm tired of this winter. Of the cold. The snow. Ew.
Of days that are short on sun and long on monotony.
Of feeling like I'm cooped up in a jail cell otherwise known as my house or the grocery store.
Cabin fever.
Seriously. Why does it feel like it's been cold for 492 months? I'm exaggerating.
I don't even remember what it's like to wear sandals and go without a coat.
I'm tired of feeling like I never see my husband, and he still has over two months left of working these hours.
But he's working hard to get a good tax season bonus, so I can't complain.
But he's working hard to get a good tax season bonus, so I can't complain.
I'm tired of not wanting to get up in the morning because the house is too cold and I don't want to get dressed.
Wow. I'm really sounding sad.
I assure you that I am not on the bring of depression. Just putting that out there.
On the bright side of things, I did finally clean the house on Sunday! So that's nice.
And I got another order of baby headbands done.
The nug has her first music class experience on Wednesday.
And I figured out how to make baby girl consume whole milk. Let's just say I love Cheerios.
Anyone else feeling the winter blues blahs?

Not jus you, I'm sick of this cold weather! It feels like its cold for 9 months and 3 months of summer, not fair!
ReplyDeleteI think I'll go for weather TOO . Though I live in a warm climate area , but nowadays , winter is on peak and doesn't seem to have a stop + rain . I guess it's enough to enjoy :(

I'm with you on the cold and being over the winter and darkness. I feel Iike I dislike winter more now than I have a kid. It's hard to do things outside when it's fuh-reezing and you worry about the toddler getting too cold.
ReplyDeleteI'm so with you!
I am over winter too. I am ready for warm weather, sandals, windows open, long walks with my baby girl. I am just sooooo ready. It's February, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The week Violet was born last March, it was 70 degrees here in Massachusetts. I am hoping for a repeat of that this year.
ReplyDeleteOh ... Sofia is going to love music class. Getting out of the house will make you feel better!
ReplyDeleteHugs my dear ~ trying to send some sunny, warm weather to you from Cali!

Yes, yes...me, me and me (raising my hand in agreement). I hate the winter and am so ready for summer and the beach right now. Give me 100 degrees and humid over the cold and snow any day. That said vent away and I share in this (I suppose misery truly does love company--especially when it is such good company!!!)
ReplyDeleteUgh, winter.... I enjoyed it for a couple of weeks and now it's time to move on! Vent away!

I love winter, but the weather is crazy! 80 degrees one day, 50 the next. I like my winter connected. Today I just want to stay snuggled up in a blanket.

ReplyDeleteSpring is almost here! :) And then summer - and I'll be the one complaining with temps in 100s!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same exact way and I got really excited when it started snowing on my way to work but then none of it stuck and I felt worse than before ... boo! Hopefully the groundhog not seeing his shadow is good news and spring will be here soon!

Totally allowed to vent :) I feel your pain! I hate winter (and I don't even get a 'real' winter here but I still think it's awful!). I am so ready for spring to be here!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI feel that way from time to time. I'm so tired right now with work, tutoring, working out, and housework. I just want to lay on the couch and do nothing. But...I guess I should be thankful I have a job.
ReplyDeleteI think even if the weather here in Atlanta is bi polar, I would still not complain since other states are having the worst weather than us. Staying home for now is really a joy to me but somehow later on I will have to go work again. Then again I will complain more, lol.

My husband was just venting about the weather too. It hasn't gotten to me yet, but the ick didn't start until very late this year.
